It has taken me an unfathomably long time to see the simple role that this blog would fulfil.
Every time I tried to write a blog post, it inevitably turned into something longer that required research and citations.
One of the biggest challenges I face is being light and playful in the fields I am engaged in, and so, in a laughably obvious moment of clarity, I now recognise the role this area of the website will take.
This is a sketchpad, workspace and otherwise a cardboard box of bits and bobs under the stairs.
This blog will have an intentionally incoherent collection of things, besides to say that they all orbit, in some fashion, the idea of relationships with the natural world.
The ideas or casual slug-out comments that appear here I fully reserve the right to change, contradict, or even deny their existence at a later point depending on how ill-thought-out they were. We all make mistakes; some of us are just happy to do it intentionally in public.
Some of the posts will serve as a starting point, or at least an inclusion, into more considered work, such as in the journal or the projects I am working on, for example. When I find a writer, artist, community, or other inspiration, I will include them in the Explore section or other sections to help people discover them.
I have the comment section to eagerly invite different viewpoints or, where a factual error has been made, corrections. I look forward to celebrating our beautiful differences.
